# The Ballad of Captain Nicky *Based on "Pirates vs. Ninjas" from The Shark's recovered records* ## Verse 1 "Get the Captain!" came the cry across The Shark's dark deck A pirate stumbled through the night, his nerves a trembling wreck In candlelit quarters stood a figure by the glass "It's a Ninja ship," the Captain said, "and death is coming fast" ## Chorus Black sails on the horizon, the Rino flag flies high Thirty souls will face their fate beneath the starlit sky But when the smoke has settled and the blood has stained the sea Who will stand among the fallen? Who will claim the victory? ## Verse 2 "They dodge your aim," the Captain warned, "shift left or right instead For if you let them close the gap, you'll lose your very head" The crew lit every lantern bright to banish shadow's reign While cannon fire thundered out like iron-hearted rain ## Chorus Black sails on the horizon, the Rino flag flies high Thirty souls will face their fate beneath the starlit sky But when the smoke has settled and the blood has stained the sea Who will stand among the fallen? Who will claim the victory? ## Bridge They ran upon the water like phantoms in the night Four leaped aboard The Shark's deck, prepared for mortal fight Two fell to hunters' steady aim, but two began their dance Thirty pirates charged as one - their only fighting chance ## Verse 3 Steel sang its deadly chorus as the battle raged so wild Till one lone Ninja warrior stood, his blade with crimson styled He heard a breath, a movement slight, behind a cabin door A frightened girl in tattered dress cowered on the floor ## Verse 4 She reached out with trembling hand, he pulled her to her feet But close she came, too close she came, their eyes did briefly meet A stiletto found its target underneath his bearded chin The "helpless" girl stepped over him with just a wicked grin ## Final Chorus Captain Nicky stands alone upon her crimson deck "Damn Ninjas!" swears the teen pirate, "Third time - what the heck!" The Shark needs a new crew now, scattered on the sea The deadliest of all pirates - she's just turned seventeen ## Outro So raise a glass to Captain Nicky, terror of the main Who plays the part of helpless girl, then strikes through others' pain The Rino Ninjas learned too late what pirates always knew: Never trust appearances - they'll be the death of you
