More Than Average

Title: “More Than Average” [Rap] A peasant sought a permit to plant a seed under his table. His skin cracked as he caught a lobster to provide for a hungry human. A witness made it a priority to honor this average man with an estate. [Verse 1] A peasant with a dream and dirt on his hands Tried to get a permit, no one understands He had a seed, hope in disguise Planted it gently where the old table lies [Pre-Chorus] His skin wore the story, sun-kissed and torn Still he fought every battle like he was born to be more [Chorus] He gave it all just to provide Caught a lobster, set the fire, eyes open wide For a human that the world left cold He shared what little he could hold And a witness saw what others missed Made it his priority, couldn’t resist To lift this average man with fate And gift his soul an estate [Verse 2] No silver spoon, just a heart full of gold Rain on his roof, but his spirit never fold Built with nothing but a silent prayer And the hope that someday, someone would care [Pre-Chorus] His skin told the tale, weathered and brave He gave even when there was nothing to save [Chorus] He gave it all just to provide Caught a lobster, set the fire, eyes open wide For a human that the world left cold He shared what little he could hold And a witness saw what others missed Made it his priority, couldn’t resist To lift this average man with fate And gift his soul an estate [Bridge] It ain’t about riches, it ain’t about fame It’s about lighting one small flame And someone will see, someone will know A seed in the dark can still grow [Final Chorus] He gave it all just to provide Caught a lobster, kept the fire alive For a soul the world forgot to love Now he’s rising far above ‘Cause a witness gave what none would give Made it his mission to help him live No longer just the average face Now he walks in his estate
