instrumental] It’s not that I wanted to play you Your logic just doesn’t make sense I don’t see a need to obey you Let’s build us a bridge not a fence You don’t understand what I’m saying You twist every word that I say The price that you ask I’m not paying Your attitude gets in the way When you talk I don’t wanna listen When I talk you don’t wanna hear I won’t play a part in your mission You lose all control when I’m near [chorus] You know better than that You know better than that Don’t act like you don’t Don’t play like you won’t cause You know better than that You know better than that You know better than that Don’t play like you would You’re up to no good Now you know better than that [verse] I’m just way to busy to check out your phone And should you stay out Girl, I won’t be alone This crazy game we play I guess they call it Tit for tat And even though we argue There’s no doubt I have your back Still you tell your homegirls Every word of every fight The only fact you leave out Is the fact that You’re not right I shouldn’t say I’m better Though you know that isn’t true My homeboys talk a lot of stuff and None of it is you. I’m way too smart to teach you Bout the ways you ought to act But face the facts we both know that You know better than that [chorus] [insrum] [verse] You smile I like Your words I don’t Not sure which I should believe The sun smiles brightly thru your eyes As words you say deceive Let’s piece our lives together like a puzzle torn apart Ooh there’s that crazy look by again Don’t play with me Don’t start You say that I am lying but I will tell you this fact You shouldn’t act the fool With me cause You know better than that [chorus] You know better than that You know better than that Don’t act like you don’t Don’t play like you won’t cause You know better than that You know better than that You know better than that Don’t play like you would You’re up to no good Now you know better than that [ instrum] [outro] You Know Better than That
