Verse 1 On a hill called Calvary, beneath a darkened sky He carried a sinful burden and was crucified They mocked Him, they struck Him, drove nails through His hands Still, mercy flowed like a river through a dry and thirsty land So we could have eternity, He gave His blood Took our place on that cross…that’s some kind of love… Chorus He could’ve said, “Enough is enough” And come down from that cross But He stayed there for us That’s some kind of love He could’ve called ten thousand angels From the heavens up above Instead He cried, “Father, forgive them” That’s some kind of love Verse 2 The spotless Lamb of God took every sinner’s place Anyone who believes can be washed in His grace He carried all our sorrow, every failure and our shame He showed He’s the way, the truth, and the life that day Now peace floods my spirit like holy rain from above And my life’s forever changed…by some kind of love… Chorus He could’ve said, “Enough is enough” And come down from that cross But He stayed there for us That’s some kind of love He could’ve called ten thousand angels From the heavens up above Instead He cried, “Father, forgive them” That’s some kind of love Bridge From an ol’ wooden cross to a cold, dark grave It took some kind of love to roll that stone away… Final Chorus He could’ve said, “Enough is enough” And come down from that cross But He stayed there for us That’s some kind of love He could’ve called ten thousand angels From the heavens up above Instead He cried, “Father, forgive them” That’s some kind of love Outro Ohhh…He gave His life to save every one of us The greatest sacrifice of all - that’s some kind of love Some kind of love…
