The Ballad of Davina Larose

Once on a dark and moonlit night I wander alone and alone Seeking for the love I called Davina Larose I was a young man She was young woman In these woods we watched the stars Watched them dance wide and bright My darling Oh my darling I watched her spirit dancing Underneath the Lousianian stars I cry in heaven we shall meet As she lays her tomb down in New Orleans My Davina Larose My Davina Larose The sweetness of thee My bride My sweetheart of old Radiant for all to see But for none to ever keep Her last words she said to me Your time will come my love I'll be watching from above Hold this life to you so dear and cherish it Her name whispers in the wind ever since My darling Oh my darling I watched her spirit dancing Underneath the Lousianian stars I cry in heaven we shall meet As she lays her tomb down in New Orleans My Davina Larose My Davina Larose The sweetness of thee My Davina Larose (davina larose) Davina Larose (davina larose) My sweet darling (my sweet darling) I was a young man And you were a young woman Oh my sweet darling You left too soon
