They bought a giant billboard, Hung his troubles in the sky: “Voted to raise your taxes— Didn’t pay his own,” ten feet high. They printed DitchMitchGreen.com, Thought they’d landed quite a sting— But type it in and suddenly You’re campaigning for Mitch Green! Oh, the domain boomerang, Watch it circle, watch it swing— They paid to tell you, “Ditch that Mitch,” Then sent you straight to Mitch Green! But first clicks don’t erase the news, And redirects can’t clean the slate. Deleted tweets and headlines live— The second click may seal your fate. A billboard plants the question, Word of mouth will make it ring: They tried to ditch him with a sign— Now everybody’s searching Green! Oh, the domain boomerang, What a tangled little thing— You may control the first click, Mitch, But not what Portlanders have seen!
