I wanna thank You for this lovin’ life, That You have gifted me, I wanna thank You for the blessings clear, That more I’ve come to see, Just eight (8) short years ago I lay, Fettered in the Neuro ICU, The ironic benefit of getting sick, Is now more “I see You!” You’re visible more vividly, The skies are much more clear, The grass is greener on my side, The blessing is right here, I thought I could just run along, And preach and not get sick, But I needed to take my own R-X, And be more authentic, Hashem knows I am stubborn! I won’t slow down alone, So, He struck me with a “stroke” of force, To get me in the zone. Of listening to what I know, Both from study and ‘innerly,’ I need to trust in You, Hashem, And hear Your voice in me.
