[Verse 1] You set a table in the land With shepherds close at hand You gave us voices, firm and kind To steady heart and mind They stand where the road bends hard With open hands, with watchful eyes They teach our feet to walk in truth And keep our hunger wise [Pre-Chorus] So we lift our heads and see The grace that comes through thee Not for honor, not for show But to help Your children grow [Chorus] Thank You for the hands You send (Thank You for the hands You send) Guide us home again (Guide us home again) Shape us in Your holy image Shape us in Your holy image Through the ones You send [Verse 2] When we grow proud, they call us back To mercy at the door When we grow weary, they remind Us what we’re walking for They break the bread, they speak the Word They carry what we miss And in their faithfulness we learn The shape of heaven is this [Pre-Chorus] So we lift our heads and see The grace that comes through thee Not for honor, not for show But to help Your children grow [Chorus] Thank You for the hands You send (Thank You for the hands You send) Guide us home again (Guide us home again) Shape us in Your holy image Shape us in Your holy image Through the ones You send [Bridge] Let their labor not be small Let their courage stand in flame Keep their hearts close to Your heart And hold them in Your name [Chorus] Thank You for the hands You send (Thank You for the hands You send) Guide us home again (Guide us home again) Shape us in Your holy image Shape us in Your holy image Through the ones You send, prophetic
