We gather in the quiet evening light Hearts remembering that sacred night Unleavened bread and plain red wine Symbols of a love divine Not a feast, but calm and still We gather here to do his will We pass the emblems hand to hand United by his command We remember, we remember Love that paid the highest cost We remember, we remember Life was given, not a loss Gives us hope to carry on Gives us faith to keep us strong Every year again we come In faith and hope we are one He washed the feet of those he led Then broke the loaf and softly said “Keep doing this, remember me” A night that shaped eternity Not just a ritual we repeat But proof his sacrifice complete A promise written in that night God’s Kingdom will set things right It points us to a brighter day When tears and death will fade away A Kingdom built on truth and peace And all our suffering will cease So we don’t just look behind But to the hope we know we’ll find A world made new, a promise true All because that night he knew We remember, we remember Love that paid the highest cost We remember, we remember Life was given, not a loss And it gives us hope to carry on Faith to keep our spirit strong Every year again we come All across the earth, we’re one Bread and wine, and heartfelt prayer A sign that he is still our care We will remember every year Until the day the New System is here
