Curtain Call for the Ember Knight
Candyman (crooning): “Ohhh, the knight returns, my molten muse, The ember child with rage to use~ You left my halls a blaze, you see, But baby, that fire’s meant for me~” Cornettes (call-and-response): “Light him up! Light him up! Burn so bright!” “Bake him down! Break him down! What a sight!” Candyman ( voice flipping manic): “Oh, Ember Knight, you glow so bold, But every flame, when left untold— Drips down to sugar, sweet and slow, And melts beneath my candy show~” (He gestures toward Ignition, mock bowing low. A ring of caramel fire erupts around them, shimmering like a spotlight.) Cornettes (harmonizing, saccharine and cruel): “Sweet surrender, sticky sin, Let the Candyman taste the heat within~ Lick the flame, and lose control, Candy’s hunger takes your soul!” Candyman (voice lowering to a honeyed whisper): “You burned my floorboards, cracked my glaze, But here you stand, still set ablaze… Oh, knight of fire, so fierce, so true, How sweet your ashes taste to chew~” (He ends with a sharp pivot, cane slamming down—boom!—and the entire dungeon trembles. The Cornettes freeze mid-pose, heads turned to him like synchronized dolls.) Candyman (purring): “And now, for my grand encore… let’s see if your flame still dances.”
