The Love They See in You

by Michael D. Berry, DC

[verse 1]
It ain’t the Sunday suit or Bible verse you quote,
It’s the way you lend a hand when someone’s lost hope.
It’s how you listen when the world’s too loud,
How you stand for truth when the crowd backs down.

Ain’t about preachin’ high from some old stage,
It’s the way you live from day to day.
‘Cause hearts don’t change from words alone—
It’s love that plants the seeds you’ve sown.

[chorus]
It’s in the love they see in you,
That tells the story, deep and true.
Not the talk, but the way you move,
When life gets hard, and faith breaks through.
Before faith takes root, before hope takes flight,
Love is the spark that brings hearts to light.
The world might doubt, but they’ll see Him too—
In the love they see in you.

[verse 2]
It’s the kindness in the checkout line,
The patience when you’re outta time.
It’s the prayer you whisper for a friend,
Who’s runnin’ low and near their end.

It ain’t the fight you win online,
It’s mercy that don’t draw a line.
‘Cause the gospel walks where hearts are real,
In a quiet grace the broken feel.

[bridge]
So shine that light in all you do,
Let His mercy shine right through you.
‘Cause someone’s watchin’, lost and torn,
Waitin’ to feel His grace reborn.

[final chorus]
Yeah, it’s in the love they see in you,
That tells the world what’s good and true.
It’s not the noise, it’s how you prove,
That Jesus lives in all you do.
Before faith takes root, before hope takes flight,
Love is the spark that brings hearts to light.
The gospel starts, the world sees truth—
In the love they see in you.

[outro]
Yeah, the first step to His heart is true...
In the love they see in you.
