[Intro – Radio static, lonely guitar, desert wind] [Spoken – Deep, weathered male voice] Forty years... Since the world ended. No cities. No stations. No voices on the air. Just dust, silence... and one old honky-tonk. But every midnight, that radio comes alive. Johnny Cash starts singing. Nobody knows why. [Verse 1 – Dark outlaw country] Forty years of heartbreak, the world's gone to hell, Whiskey's still being served at the Last Chance Hotel. Broken neon flickers, old floorboards creak, Survivors come drinking, too tired to speak. An old radio behind the bar plays Johnny Cash, His voice rises through the static and ash. No stations left, no signals anymore, Yet every night he sings like forty years before. [Verse 2 – Industrial bass builds] The door swung open, and Jim B stepped inside, Battered boots and a Stetson, that old cowboy stride. The bartender said, "I've seen your face before." Jim B tipped his hat. "Yeah, I know," then glanced toward the door. The radio played, and his smile turned to a frown, "Turn that damn thing off!" he shouted. "Shut it down!" "That voice ain't from the past. There's something underground." [Verse 3 – Dark synths rising] He stared at the radio and slowly shook his head. "That voice ain't coming from the living or the dead. It's a signal from tomorrow," Jim said, "From a machine buried when the skies turned red. Forty years it's been calling, trying to change our fate, Sending songs through time—but tonight may be too late." "What the hell's it trying to do?" the bartender said. "That's the trouble, son. I wish I knew," Jim said. [Verse 4 – Banjo, fading industrial beat] Jim B eyed the clock behind the bar; something was different that day. "That thing ain't moving. How long's it been that way?" "Stopped when the world broke us," the bartender replied. "Eleven fifty-nine, the night the old world died." A lonely banjo rang; Jim B turned his head as that banjo cried. The whole room fell silent. Something wasn't right here. [All instruments stop] [SFX: One loud clock tick] Tick. [Massive distorted 808 bass drop] [Chorus – Explosive outlaw country EDM] There's a voice beneath the static! There's a heartbeat in the sand! Something buried forty years ago, It's reaching for the living in this land! The clock is ticking, time is breaking, Something down below is waking! Johnny Cash is singing, but nobody knows— WHO THE HELL IS CALLING FROM BELOW?! [Verse 5 – Urgent industrial beat] The clock hands spun; the neon burned blood red, The floor shook hard; Johnny's voice went dead. The radio spoke—in the bartender's voice: "Don't let it play! Don't give it a choice!" Jim B went pale. "I've heard those words before." "How?" the bartender cried, backing toward the door. "I've lived this night already. I know how it ends." The radio crackled: "Here we go again." [Bridge – Lonely banjo, ticking clock] "The machine sends tomorrow into yesterday. Let it finish, and the world may die the same way." The bartender reached for the dial, shaking with fear. "Or maybe we could save them..." Midnight was near. [Final Chorus – Industrial EDM explosion] There's a voice beneath the static! There's a heartbeat in the sand! The clock is ticking, time is breaking, Something down below is waking! Johnny Cash is singing, but nobody knows— WHO THE HELL IS CALLING FROM BELOW?! [All music cuts] [SFX: Midnight chime] [Spoken Outro – Radio hiss] The lights came back. Jim B was gone. The clock read 12:01. For the first time in forty years, the radio was silent. [SFX: Three knocks beneath the floorboards] Then the bartender heard his own voice whisper: "Play it again." [Static. End.]
