He Still Loves You — The Gospel Song Lyrics by Sheryl Clyde / Thunderbird

[Intro]
Do you know who else loves you?
A special man, God’s only Begotten Son.
Born of a virgin, by Spirit divine,
Who was still pure when the miracle was done.
[Verse 1]
She gave Him the name Jesus,
God’s Only Begotten Son,
Fully God, Fully man,
A Jewish child with Heaven’s face,
He walked where we now stand.
[Verse 2]
He taught the crowds with holy fire,
Said He was God’s own Son.
Some grew angry, picked up stones,
But God would hide Jesus from their eyes.
[Verse 3]
Twelve disciples walked beside Him,
Through Jesus's healing, truth, and grace.
But the time had come for His sacrifice,
To take all sinners’ place.
[Verse 4]
One betrayed Him for silver coins,
Some lied about Jesus, others beat Him.
The Roman judge found no fault,
Yet handed Him over to the cross.
[Verse 5]
A crown of thorns on His head, whips on His back for our shame,
They stripped His garments bare.
He carried that cross through jeering streets,
Our sin put Him there. [Verse 6]
Nails driven through hands and feet that healed,
They raised Him up in pain.
And from the cross, He cried in love,
“Father, forgive their sins.”
[Bridge]
When Jesus breathed His last and said it is finished the ground it shook, the temple tore,
The veil was split in two.
God’s presence now would dwell with us,
Through Christ who rose anew.
[Verse 7]
Three days passed — the stone rolled back,
He rose, alive and free.
He showed Himself to those He loved,
And spoke of eternity.
[Chorus]
Oh Jesus, Son of God and Man,
You died to set us free.
If we repent and call Your name,
Your Heaven’s our home will be.
[Verse 8]
We all have sinned and walked away,
Ashamed of what we’ve done.
But mercy waits for those who turn,
To Jesus Christ, God’s Son.
[Outro]
So if you feel alone today,
And wonder what is true:
He died for you, He rose again—
And He still loves you too.
