[Verse 1] James tees it up Talkin’ big game Big smile Takes our money on a Tuesday Like it ain’t been close in a while He’ll blade one past the bunker Chunk one into the blue Still writes his name on the scorecard Like a pro in a rented shoe [Chorus] Shankin’ King James Still takin’ our cash Five-iron 130 Swing made of flash Laughin’ all the way We’re shakin’ our heads He’s the king of the deal And the best damn hair at fifty instead (oh, Shankin’ King James) [Verse 2] Out on the course He’s cagey Back in town He’s straight Signs his name on a contract Like he signs on a score for an eight He’ll slice one onto the cart path Then drain a twenty-foot save Then flip those keys to a tower Like he just bought half the state [Chorus] Shankin’ King James Still takin’ our cash Five-iron 130 Swing made of flash Laughin’ all the way We’re shakin’ our heads He’s the king of the deal And the best damn hair at fifty instead (oh, Shankin’ King James) [Bridge] We’re broke in the bar at sunset He’s buyin’ the round Of course Talkin’ fairways Talkin’ floor space Talkin’ how he’s a natural force If swagger had a handicap He’d be scratch in every way Turn a duff into a birdie Turn a Monday to a payday [Chorus] Shankin’ King James Still takin’ our cash Five-iron 130 Swing made of flash Laughin’ all the way We’re shakin’ our heads He’s the king of the deal And the best damn hair at fifty instead (oh, Shankin’ King James)
