Loyalty means everything to me, Its how I love, how I show up, how I choose my friends, When someone switches, it hits deeper than theyll ever think, makes me close the door, to which I don’t let many in, So when I do, I expect the same I give, Stand with me and I’ll stand with you, break that bond, then we're done, we're through! I never ask for perfect, I only ask for what is real If loyalty ain’t part of who you are, Don't pretend its how you feel Because to me, it’s unacceptable to switch sides when things get hard, Its unacceptable, to leave me carrying all the scars trust ain't something you throw away, respect comes from what you do, not what you say, Break that trust and it doesn’t heal the same, Once I'm gone, You'll only have yourself to blame, Betrayal is unacceptable! Totally unacceptable! I notice the small things, who shows up, who keeps their word, Loyalty isn’t loud, its quiet, its proven when no one else is heard.
