[Verse 1] Sometimes I sit and wonder When the Lord will come again ’Cause for every true believer It’s the hope on which we stand I don’t know when He will come again In the morning, noon, or night I only pray my Jesus finds me Living what is right [Pre-Chorus] Keep my lamp trimmed and burning Keep my heart stayed true Every day I’m watching Every day for You [Chorus] When Jesus comes For His children on that day My Lord will wash All tears away When Jesus comes Will you be with Him there? Or will you be left behind Without a hope or prayer [Verse 2] My friend, just look around you The time is drawing near But put your trust in my Lord Jesus For in Him there is no fear The Lord is coming back again I hope to see you there When Jesus calls His children For that meeting in the air [Pre-Chorus] Keep my lamp trimmed and burning Keep my heart stayed true Every day I’m watching Every day for You [Chorus] When Jesus comes For His children on that day My Lord will wash All tears away When Jesus comes Will you be with Him there? Or will you be left behind Without a hope or prayer [Bridge] So I’m waiting and believing With my eyes upon the sky If You call me in the stillness Lord, I want to be nearby [Final Chorus] When Jesus comes For His children on that day My Lord will wash All tears away When Jesus comes Will you be with Him there? Or will you be left behind Without a hope or prayer
