"I'm Allowed to Move" by Hyperfocus Kids
My hands like to flap, my feet like to tap, my body likes to rock and bounce like that. I used to hold it in, try to keep real still, but my body has a job to do — it's not going to sit still. I'm allowed to move! I'm allowed to be me! Flapping, rocking, bouncing round — that's just how I stay free! You can watch if you want to, I don't mind at all — I'm allowed to move, big or small! Some kids clap their hands, some kids hum a song, some kids spin in circles 'cause that's where they belong. It's not silly, it's not strange, it's just how my body feels okay again. I'm allowed to move! I'm allowed to be me! Flapping, rocking, bouncing round — that's just how I stay free! You can watch if you want to, I don't mind at all — I'm allowed to move, big or small! Everybody moves when they feel a lot — you stretch, you tap your pen, you fidget quite a lot! So when I flap my hands, it's the same kind of thing — just my body finding calm, just my body's way to sing. I'm allowed to move! I'm allowed to be me! Flapping, rocking, bouncing round — that's just how I stay free! Watch me flap! Watch me bounce! Watch me be me! I'm allowed to move — that's just how I'm free!
