[Verse 1] Please don't worry Please don't cry Forever there's a lantern Laughing in the sky So even in the darkness Somewhere up on high The sun keeps on a-shining Rising by and by [Chorus] The sun keeps on a-shining And when the sunlight plays Those clouds are painting patterns Golden rays And even when it's raining There's sunshine there above The sun keeps on a-shining When you're in love [Verse 2] Please don't hurry Come here and stay There's no need to worry It's just another day When the sun keeps on a-shining We can dance through any rain Just wait there for the sunlight To chase away the pain [Chorus] The sun keeps on a-shining And when the sunlight plays Those clouds are painting patterns Golden rays And even when it's raining There's sunshine there above The sun keeps on a-shining When you're in love [Verse 3] Please don't wander Come laugh and play The path is always lit up Bright on every day And if you feel you're drifting Follow where the light has been The sun keeps on a-shining Glowing deep within [Instrumental Break] [Verse 4] So don't be angry Don't be sad Remember all the daydreams And the good times that we had When the sun kept on a-shining Even when the raindrops fell Underneath the blankets Life was always swell [Outro]
