The Mapmaker

A path I have been walking since I was a teen, Seeking pure air that felt clean and alive. Then a Kingdom door that opened the means Of a map ravishing a vision to thrive. I am not a prophet, hold no claim to proclamation — I am a cartographer mapping what’s in store. One who has walked long enough to craft A destiny worth drawing, worth dying for. I did not find His Kingdom. His Kingdom found me. It was here before I arrived, It will be at hand for others to seek — Until the restoration is complete. Find your way home — The map is not the terrain, what’s real is unseen. Find your way home — The Kingdom is here, and so is the King, And he is good, and his rest for your soul is near. Find your way home. I have watched the sincere ones come to faith And struggle to find shalom and love that are sound. Confessing, professing, and yet still breathless, From a gospel of debt on legal grounds. The shepherds need a map their people can walk — Not a plan, a place, a gathering somewhere. From breathless pain to divine reign — That is the burden and the beauty that I cherish and bear. We all have a Lucy leading through the wardrobe, A teacher, philosopher, mentor unknown. They draw your life vibrant in colors and prose, For me to know the Jesus Dallas knew — and now truly knows. Find your way home — He is not waiting from afar, he meets you here. Find your way home — He is walking beside you now, unveiling the map, The same road to Emmaus is the route that we take. This is the way home. My life is to simply follow Jesus. I invite you to join me along the way. Walk with us — through woods that breathe life. He knows every trail. He is close in every trial. Jesus leads to the most important end destination of every map-- Home…
