Forget Me Not Books My dad taught the same way Left the classroom one day Now I'm here with my books Shelves stacked high, stories inside Pages worn from a thousand minds My friends and I, we traded chalk For mysteries and late-night talk [Pre-Chorus] Samuel rolls his eyes When we call him Belle [Chorus] We're the Blackboard Belles Small town, big tales Solving puzzles, finding clues In the Blue Ridge winding trails We're the Blackboard Belles And we're doing just fine Living out our second lives One mystery at a time [Verse 2] The town likes to tease us Laughs at our little name But we cracked the case last spring Changed the whole game Samuel arranges flowers now Won't admit that he's proud But he's here every Thursday night Reading mysteries out loud [Chorus] We're the Blackboard Belles Small town, big tales Solving puzzles, finding clues In the Blue Ridge winding trails We're the Blackboard Belles And we're doing just fine Living out our second lives One mystery at a time [Bridge] From lesson plans to leather chairs From desks to Forget Me Not We found our purpose sitting here In this place we all sought [Final Chorus] We're the Blackboard Belles Small town, big tales Solving puzzles, finding clues In the Blue Ridge winding trails We're the Blackboard Belles And we're doing just fine Living out our second lives One mystery at a time
