"HIS COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT GRIEVOUS"

1 JOHN 5:1-5 “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep his commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith. Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?” “HIS COMMANDMENTS ARE NOT GRIEVOUS” If we truly believe Christ Is the Son of God, And know he came to save us from our sins. If we claim to love Him with all our heart, We will wish to be cleansed of any sin within. Yet too many will not let go of sinful habits. They seem to believe they can continue still in them. All they have to do is say “I'm sorry,” Then they are always pardoned once again. Yet the Bible doesn't teach us this is true, For Jesus wants to take away our sinful traits, Free you from those sins which break His law, And make us end up with the evil angels' fates. But when our Savior lived as our pure example He made a way that we could learn to live it too. He is willing to give us freely His divine power, So you are able to “abide in Him and He in you.” Gaining victory over sin is completely possible, If we surrender to His keeping night and day. This is why the Bible tells us very plainly, That Jesus is “the truth, the life, and way.”
