Rich, creamy hot cocoa and a crackling fireplace on the inside Kids laughing, throwing snowballs, and sledding on the outside With the thick, heavy snowfall comes a still and frigid night Morning light makes the snow glitter; such a beautiful sight Nestled in a peaceful valley, a picturesque mountain town This winter wonderland causes people to hunker down Cinnamon rolls are baking, the aroma filling up the whole room A cheerful snowman looks in; winter roses are in full bloom Covered in a blanket by the crackling fire, hot cocoa in hand Eating a cinnamon roll, reading a book, with nothing else planned Vibrant cardinals pop against ice-weighted tree limbs Cars stay buried under heavy snow with ice-clogged rims Kids are filled with glee when they hear there is no school As each day goes by, the sun warms the air, and it gets less cool Snow slowly melts, cars are seen once more, now less time to slack Months go by; people await the winter wonderland to come back
