The Druids were important teachers in Celtic Britain. They taught the children of important families. They used to teach by speaking and repeating lessons because they did not have books. Students learned four main things: ● Rules: how to do the right thing and follow the village rules. ● History: stories about their people, their families, and old battles. ● Nature and Medicine: which plants and flowers could help sick people. ● Religion: stories about the gods and special ceremonies. Some students used to study for many years -even 20 years- to become Druids themselves. They had to remember everything by heart.
