THE EVANGELIST: PART 20 — The Cost of Carrying Revival

V5.5

The Cost of Carrying Revival VERSE 1 Revival shines with holy fire, But fire falls on living men. It is not borrowed celebration, It is a charge that burns within. To whom much has been freely given, Much will be required again. God lays the weight on yielded shoulders, And trusts the flame to faithful men. PRE-CHORUS It is glory, it is burden, It is heaven pressing through. It is holy, it is costly, But the call remains true. CHORUS This is the cost of carrying revival, This is the weight of the fire of God. To preach through pressure, pain, and battle, To walk the narrow, burning road. Though the nights are long and the tears fall hidden, Though the strength is spent and the price is high, Still the call is louder than the suffering— Carry the fire, and never let it die. ⸻ VERSE 2 Meetings end and crowds may scatter, But the burden does not leave. Souls are hanging in the balance, And eternity still breathes. There is no switch to turn it silent, No retreat from what is known. This is not despair or darkness, This is the weight of being sent alone. PRE-CHORUS Pressed in spirit, urged within, Constrained until the work is done. Heaven’s burden on the vessel, Till the harvest all is won. ⸻ VERSE 3 The body feels the miles and labor, The sleepless watch, the constant strain. Journeyings often, wearied footsteps, Yet the Gospel still remains. The flesh is trained to serve the calling, Not to bow before its ease. Strength is stewarded for the mission, Till every captive soul is freed. VERSE 4 There are wounds no eye can measure, Sorrows carried out of sight. Broken lives and deep betrayal, Private tears behind the light. Love will spend and still keep giving, Though misunderstood by men. Compassion grows in hidden suffering, And rises stronger once again. PRE-CHORUS Spent, yet strengthened, Pressed, yet standing. Grace supplies what flesh cannot. When the vessel feels its weakness, Still the oil has not run out. ⸻ BRIDGE Revival costs, but souls are worthy. Revival burns, but God sustains. Revival presses, but grace is greater. Revival wounds, but heaven reigns. Though few may walk the road beside you, Though some may leave and not return, The Lord Himself will fill the silence, And keep the altar fire that burns. BRIDGE 2 The weight will break the pride in secret, The burden drives the heart to pray. It strips the flesh and purifies the motive, Till only Christ remains. The joy of God becomes the strength, When natural power is gone. The one who carries holy fire Keeps marching on and on. ⸻ FINAL CHORUS This is the cost of carrying revival, This is the weight of the fire of God. To preach through pressure, pain, and battle, To walk the narrow, burning road. Every mile, every tear, every hidden sacrifice, Every prayer, every seed, every lonely night— The harvest cries, and eternity is calling, So bear the flame with all your life. TAG / OUTRO Every soul outweighs the suffering. Every sheaf will prove the cry. Faithful ones will carry revival, And they will not quit— They will not quit— They will not quit. Carry the fire… Carry the fire… And never let it die.
