Ryusei Miyakodori is a music writer and editor. Dedicated to bringing unreleased tracks by Yoichi Takizawa—a pioneer of Japanese City Pop who passed away in 2006 at the age of 56—to the world, Ryusei crafts modern arrangements using Suno and personally writes lyrics for select songs. Through these efforts, Ryusei revives lesser-known masterpieces composed between the 1970s, 1980s, and around 1991 for a contemporary audience. We have digitized unreleased recordings discovered at Yoichi Takizawa's home and transformed them into brand-new tracks using Suno AI. We hope you'll explore and appreciate the wonderful music of a composer who had a profound impact not only on the Japanese music scene, but also on the global City Pop boom.
