My name is Tony Evans, born and raised in Petal, Mississippi. I’ve worked hard my whole life, learning early that life doesn’t always give you what you want—but it always gives you something worth writing about. Then I met a girl from Ohio. Her name is Marissa Marie Evans, and somewhere along the way, two young people with big dreams became husband and wife. Together, we moved to Boston and started a life of our own. Our greatest blessing came when our son, Ashton David Evans, was born. Ashton was a micro-preemie and faced more challenges in his life than any child should have to face. Watching him fight his way forward changed the way I looked at life, love, and family forever. Today, I’m 39, Marissa is 33, and Ashton is 8. We’ve lived through hard times, beautiful moments, heartbreak, laughter, fear, hope, and everything in between. And those experiences became the stories I carry with me. That’s where my music comes from. I write about love, loss, family, growing up, mistakes, memories, second chances, and the moments that make us who we are. I hope my music reaches somebody who needs it—whether they’re going through the hardest night of their life or the best days.
