Svoya (Se-voy-a). Many paths. One light. I come from a northern landscape of forests, open water, and long winters. Between the quiet of snow and summer evenings that barely turn dark, I learned to listen. Nature finds its way into my music: rain against a window, branches in the wind, the stillness beside a lake. I love how the same path feels different each time you walk it. A song often begins with a few words, a melody, or a feeling I haven’t quite understood. I follow it, finding room for a close voice, piano, cello, and layers of harmony. Sometimes what matters most is the space between them. My music wanders through intimate dream pop and chamber folk, with acoustic textures and a little shimmer. I make songs to stay a little longer with what moves me: love, loneliness, kindness, doubt, and the small moments we nearly pass by. If a song makes you slow down, look again, or feel a little less alone, I’m glad we met. Every song is another place within the same landscape. You’re welcome to wander.
