*WUNDERCOVERS An anthology of AI songs inspired by the music of the Cocteau Twins, reimagined as though their songs had been dreamed in other worlds. The Cocteau Twins rarely published lyrics, leaving much of their language suspended between sound, emotion, and interpretation. Over the years, listeners have written their own versions of what those songs might be saying: fragments of imagined lyrics, misheard phrases, poetic interpretations, private meanings. WUNDERCOVERS takes those interpretations as raw material and turns them into something new. These are not traditional covers. They are *wundercovers*: songs that begin with the mystery of another song, pass through the collective imagination of its listeners, and emerge somewhere unexpected. Each piece takes the atmosphere, emotional architecture, and enigmatic language associated with the Cocteau Twins and carries it into a different musical universe. Dream pop, shoegaze, electronic music, folk, soul, gothic, orchestral, psychedelic, ambient, rock, and whatever else the song seems to demand. The result is an anthology of mesmerizing poetic mysteries: familiar ghosts wearing unfamiliar clothes.
