Once upon a time, as so many good stories begin, a bunch of us offered to get a band for a corporate party we were attending. As a lark, we were the band, Bumper. We even wrote and recorded a decent song. Over subsequent years, through different bands and duets, I learned to compose and perform, creating a substantial body of work across rock, folk, acoustic, blues and, most recently, jazz genres. Output waxed and waned in between my entrepreneurial activities, climate change activism, Microsoft Community activities and conferences and intermittent sessions for the University of Hull, but the body of work is substantial. Only 1 album and a couple of singles were properly recorded. Until Suno... I play acoustic and electric guitar, across multiple styles including gypsy jazz. I also make a passing attempt at playing octave mandolin. My only professionally recorded album, 5th Street Station by the five piece band Tripmanhattan, is on Tidal (under my name, Tidal is weird like that).
