The Salty Soul / Olli Fields is my overarching music and creative project. It combines dark, honest, and melancholic stories with handmade, earthy musical styles such as Outlaw Country, Cowpunk, Dark Americana, Western Rock, and Acoustic Folk. and Punk Rock. Salty Soul explicitly does not represent maritime nautical romance or coastal imagery. Instead, "Salty" symbolizes the bitter, tragic, rough, and ironic sides of life—scars, life experience, and disappointment, but also an unvarnished attitude. Olli Fields (The Protagonist / Musician): Acts as the songwriter, lyricist, and visible face of the project. Visually and thematically, the persona embodies a distinctive rock/Western style (tattooed, earthy, authentic) and lends the stories a personal, unfiltered touch. Creator & Lyricist: Oliver G. writes the stories, song concepts, and lyric structures that define the dark, bittersweet, and raw character of Salty Soul. Inspiration & Persona: The character "Olli Fields" is based on my own appearance and Olli is my real name, lending the project a sense of authenticity and personal experience.
