Bourgon

Somewhere between putting his kids to bed and turning off the lights, Bourgon started writing the moments he didn’t want to lose. Born in the Netherlands, Bourgon is a 38-year-old father of two, a boy and a girl, and a husband who learned, somewhere along the way, that the smallest parts of a day are often the ones that stay. His songs don’t begin in studios. They begin in ordinary places: a quiet house after laughter has faded, a child half-asleep on his shoulder, the pause before closing a bedroom door. He writes from inside those moments, not after them. There’s a life outside the music friends, long evenings, football, the rhythm of everyday routines, but it always folds back into the same center: home. Not as an idea, but as something lived. Something changing, slowly, whether you notice it or not. Bourgon’s sound is stripped back and close. Acoustic, unguarded, without distance. Nothing added that doesn’t need to be there. His voice doesn’t try to reach far - it stays near, as if the listener is sitting in the same room. He doesn’t write about being a father. He writes about what remains when a day is over.
