About

I'm David, though most people here know me as recipient I'm a heart-transplant survivor, husband, father, grandfather, Northwoods wanderer, and accidental songwriter. What started as curiosity turned into a catalog large enough that even I occasionally stumble across songs I forgot I wrote. I don't chase genres. Folk, soul, gospel, funk, psych-rock, prog, electronic, country, disco, or something that probably shouldn't exist but somehow does—I follow the song wherever it wants to go. Most of what I write comes from real life: love, loss, gratitude, faith, family, mornings with coffee, long conversations, quiet lakes, and the strange miracle of still being here. I'm not trying to be famous. I'm trying to leave behind a little joy, a little wonder, a few laughs, and maybe a song that finds someone exactly when they need it.
