I make no claim to being a musician, but music has been part of my life for a long time. I took piano lessons for five years as a kid, spent six years as a band geek playing trombone, and DJed at a roller rink in the early ’80s. Decades later, I returned to DJing for a weekly ’80s night from 2006–2022. With Suno, I get my best results when I develop a story first—about a friend, relative, cause, event, or experience—and work on lyrics that tell that story. When I'm not doing that, I enjoy experimenting with instrumentals. I hear some amazing songs here from people who have clearly mastered Suno prompting better than I have, and I'm still learning. I believe AI-generated music has a place, but I don't want to see it exploited at the expense of working musicians trying to make a living from their craft. Other than my blog or social media, you won't find my songs on commercial streaming services. If you've stumbled across my profile, I hope something I've created resonates with you. Thanks for listening! —Tim
