My music taste has never made much sense. I grew up in a small country town on country radio, then somehow released a hip-hop album at 19. #confused Truth is, I’ve always loved all of it. Snoop Dogg to Zach Bryan. Punk rock to K-pop. Classical to EDM. If it’s good, I’m in. Back in the day, I filled binders with lyrics. My brother made the beats. Words were always my thing. Then life happened. Work, family, kids. The binders went into a box. Now technology opened some old doors, and I walked back through. The stories, ideas and lyrics start with me. Some are new, some come from those old binders. AI helps me push ideas, shape lyrics and iterate. Suno brings the music to life from my direction on style, tempo, energy and feel. I know AI in music is controversial. But using AI as a collaborator, with a real person and real stories at the center? I think that’s pretty exciting. That’s OLDAF. No genre. Not many rules. Just songs I wish existed. Some funny. Some personal. Some random. Hopefully a few you turn up way too loud in the car. If you find one you love, it’s yours.
