I used to be a "real" musician, but my hands simply can't do what they used to. My creative options are limited by my circumstances, but that spark never really goes away. My process: I improvise around a handful of melodies stuck in my head and hands. I'll try different layers, midi tracks, beats, styles, and sounds until I hear something I like. I then feed that to Suno, and when it spits out something workable, I start editing as I write lyrics. I then take the remix into the studio to split the stems and make fine adjustments.
