NIGHTFORGE: Coldmere's Loudest Export Five kids, one mill, zero patience. Nightforge trade in twin-guitar thunder and choruses built for shouting back. Their sound was hammered out in a steel-mill basement between shifts, and it shows: every riff sounds like it was struck on an anvil. "We play like the lights are about to go out," says the band. Their first demo, Forged in the Dark, is now circulating on cassette. Bookings and mail:Not Here Go Screw Yourself Five workers and drop-outs from Coldmere's mill formed Nightforge in 1983 and rehearsed after night shifts. In autumn 1984 they cut one demo cassette in the mill basement. On the way to their first real show, their van disappeared from the highway, and no wreck was ever found. The tape sat in a storage unit for four decades until someone opened the box. Every Nightforge song is a restored track from that reel.
