Project and the Encounter with MgMichael Behind Lia Cadori rapid rise and unique sound lies an unexpected and successful collaboration with MgMichael, a veteran DJ and producer with a solid career in the '90s European electronic and house scene. MgMichael is the creator and sound architect of the musical project called L.I.A.—an acronym he likes to call Lounge, Indie & Acoustics, a perfect play on the name of his muse. The Dynamics of the Duo * The Encounter: After deciding to move away from the frenetic rhythms of the clubs to explore more atmospheric sounds, MgMichael was searching for the perfect voice for his new concept. The epiphany came while hearing Lia sing a melancholic song in French in a small underground venue in Milan. * The Sound: The L.I.A. Project creates a bridge between generations and styles. Analog synthesizers, hypnotic loops, and MgMichael's production experience form a refined electronic carpet upon which Lia's velvety, Italian-French voice rests.
