MARK TINLEY spent 25 years ensuring Duran Duran never missed a beat .. and now believes the next revolution belongs to AI. Long before "AI music" became a headline, Tinley was already at the frontier of digital sound. For over two decades he worked behind one of pop's biggest live and studio operations, contributing to seven Duran Duran albums and helping navigate the industry's transition from tape to digital recording. He worked with systems including eMagic Logic, Opcode Studio Vision and the technologies that evolved into modern Pro Tools workflows. Rather than adapting to the digital audio revolution, he helped shape it. His career spans work with Quantum Corporation, digital audio systems, synth development, beta testing for Logic and Ableton, and collaborations with artists including Nick Rhodes, Warren Cuccurullo, The Dandy Warhols, TV-Mania and Adamski. Today Tinley is applying that experience to AI music, creating personalised songs, live musical experiences and advocating for fair, timestamped royalty models as generative music moves towards mainstream adoption. A veteran of the last audio revolution, he now stands at the doorway to the next.
