Arctic Soul — songs of memory, faith, and the North (Semi-Retired) Former Producer/Host/Writer-Broadcaster & News writer at CBC North (20 years)/Former Instructor at Arctic College teaching Adult Learners Literacy (10 years) Currently Writing Songs and Poems but, real job includes Part time Instructor Role and Taking on Inuktitut Interpreter/Translator Roles besides being a Mother of 5 adult kids (Sadly our middle child died by Suicide) I have 5 Grandkids and and I'm Aunty to many. My songwriting is rooted in deep personal experiences of grief and remembrance =faith without preaching -Arctic / Isolated Northern lived experiences-quiet strength, not performance ( I do sing Inuit hymns) but prefer to write songs of memory, love, endurance
