Who is Bill Nolan, the artist? An ordinary man who has lived an extraordinary life. Not a perfect life. Not an easy life. A life of reinvention, redemption, loss, love, failure, and rebuilding. At 68, I am not the man I was at 48. I have known low places I wasn’t sure I would climb out of. I have also stood in rooms I never could have imagined as a poor boy living in a trailer in the middle of a field, busing tables before school. But the brands are not the story. The titles are not the story. The story is the man those years built. The man who kept going. The man who learned to begin again. The man who refused to let life harden him. That is where I write from.
