Jillian Riley is a singer-songwriter whose love of music began early. Raised in the church singing a cappella hymns, she also grew up singing beside her dad’s guitar and spending hours with her grandmother around the piano, singing and dancing. She studied dance for many years, performed in theater through high school and adulthood with a later emphasis on musical theater, and began learning flute at 12 and guitar at 15. Jillian joined band in seventh grade, later performed in college symphonic band, and received a music scholarship. Her passion led her to study commercial music, including voice, guitar, songwriting, and music fundamentals. She performed in a country dance band and has sung backup and onstage with local bands. Then love, marriage, and children changed the path she had planned. Years later, Jillian returned to college to pursue a marketing degree while also returning to music. Her songs now reflect faith, family, resilience, delayed dreams, and the courage to begin again.
