About

Jan Buch is a Danish guitarist, songwriter, and composer born in 1958. Work Process and Production My focus is to finish and release older songs—while still capturing the original intention and sound I had when they were written (yes, I'm basically time-traveling back to my younger self and trying to agree with him). Albert I provides the vocals on the new productions. He's got strong technical skills and an impressive range, which gives the songs a solid vocal foundation. Our collaboration naturally involves ongoing tweaks to lyrics and delivery to get the tone and expression just right—because apparently, "almost right" is not quite right. I record the basic tracks myself—acoustic guitar and vocals or use old home recorded demos and studio recordings as basic—and then develop the material digitally. I use AI-based tools to help preserve my original chord structures and sonic intentions, while refining arrangement, instrumentation, and overall production from there. The AI tools act both as production gear and a creative sparring partner. They bring fresh perspectives to arrangements—especially helpful when you realize you've been mentally stuck in a structure from, say… 1998.
