About

A Scottish female indie folk singer, writing folk music inspired by Scotland's places and traditions. I like to take inspiration from other musical genres that I personally listen to, be it grunge, punk, alternative, to soul. Recently, I've experimented with live performance versions of many of my songs and I'm happy with the results, in particular "Nevermind, It's Fine", "Inside a Stone", and "The Ridge". Sometimes I choose to put out songs using various personas if the lyrics fit better in different styles. These are Linthorpe Road (UK Post Punk/Alternative) and Paltaine (Emo/Punk/Alternative). The lyrics often explore themes associated with Scotland, from folklore to capturing the feeling of a place. Sometimes they are personal and reflective, exploring ideas I'm trying to make sense of. Thank you for coming here and I hope you find something you like amongst these songs!
