A West Coast musician and producer who records as Chemtrails — a solo project built on ambient texture, cinematic atmosphere, and the gray weight of Pacific Northwest fog. Born on the Oregon coast, he picked up a trumpet at six and never really stopped chasing sound. His musical instincts formed early — shaped by the records that filled the rooms of his childhood, deepened by the rave and DJ culture of Portland and San Francisco, and refined across decades of band work, studio obsession, and an unrelenting appetite for what sound can do to a room. He's moved through bands, genres, and roles — guitarist, then keyboardist and producer with Venus In Spurs, into the experimental rock terrain of Terra Firma — each chapter pushing further into the territory where performance bleeds into atmosphere. As Chemtrails, his solo work resists easy classification. Layered soundscapes built from keyboards, guitar, and ambient texture that feel less like songs and more like locations — equal parts Pacific Northwest gloom, late-night studio instinct, and something faintly unsettling, like a place you've been but can't quite place.
