jasonldisley is a writer who is known for his books of poetry, novels and non fiction work. He also has a publishing imprint called Beatnpress. His music endeavours are separate from his literature, although things have become blurred of late. He has released work under the monika Diz and The Go Getters, and another alter ego Jaswan Cornetto. He is inspired by jazz, soul, funk and indie/britpop. He is known for his Modernist Beat literature, and is known for his association with the Modernist scene. He is a co-writer of Sartorial 65 - Paul Weller style - Five Decades of Cool. He has also written a book called The Desired Article - A Concise Look At Style, which is about the history of menswear staples. He also edits and curates a series of books called Tales of Jazz, and has written for various magazines including Detail Magazine, and Heavy Soul. He also from time to time pops up at spokenword events.
