The Legacy of Music began in the 1990s with DJ Jody and DJ Lori. After Jody passed away, Lori carried the legacy forward, moving thousands of hearts on the dance floor. In the early 2000s, DJ Club Boy, John McCormick, joined them, and together they became a force of energy, rhythm, and love. Both John and Lori have since moved to the dance floor in the sky, and I have no doubt they are together again, surrounded by light and love. While I was never given the gift of voice, I was given the gift of words. Through the magic of modern technology, my poems have become music. My poetry saved my life and has reached millions through my books and social media. Bringing those words and melodies together was an easy decision, because the Legacy of Music must continue. Lori poured her heart into carrying the memory of Jody, and we spent many nights talking about that legacy. Now, through the Heal Loudly™ Movement, which has reached more than 250 million people worldwide, my poems in music will live under Lori’s Legacy of Music—to continue the love and light that she and Jody shared across those dance floors. Just as Lori carried it for Jody, I will carry it for her.
