Aaron R. Freedom is the stage name of Patrick , a 60-year-old Georgia-born singer and songwriter from Morrisville, North Carolina. After battling addiction, prison time, divorce, and the loss of his mama, Mama Lucy, brothers Chris and Jason, and his beloved German Shepherd River, he found sobriety in September through faith and daily songwriting. Inspired by Elvis Presley’s line “a man doesn’t have a friend without a song,” Aaron turns his real-life struggles into heartfelt country and gospel-tinged music. His songs — including “One Trick Pony,” “Write It Down in a Song,” and “God, Family, Country” — speak of redemption, family, and second chances.
