I've always liked rock music. As a kid, I used to make my own mix tapes from the radio, and most of the earliest albums I bought were rock or metal. I looked for Christian rock and heavy metal in my church bookstores, but that section was always so small. When I was in high school, my friends and I formed our own band. We wrote a few songs of our own and recorded one (and a half) CDs. I don't have a band anymore, and my callouses have long disappeared, and when I try to sing along to Skillet or Project 86, well, I have to turn the volume up so that even I can't hear what I sound like. AI tools have provided a tool for me to be able to create music. I love writing all the lyrics, but AI now gives me a way to put these words to music, play with different styles, and edit takes. It allows me to contribute to the Christian rock music arena. This project also lets me work with my wife on the songs.
