About
AWL is a visionary music producer blending the soulful warmth of ’90s R&B with the sleek textures of modern electronic music and the raw energy of classic hip-hop. Known for crafting lush, emotionally charged soundscapes, AWL creates immersive productions that bridge generations, merging timeless melodies with contemporary sounds. Through collaborations with rising R&B artist Jey Rivers, AWL explores smooth grooves, atmospheric production, and heartfelt storytelling. But there’s another side to the sound: Bobby Rico, AWL’s hip-hop alter ego, channeling the gritty essence of early-2000s East Coast rap with authentic New York vibes, hard-hitting drums, soulful samples, raw lyricism, and that unmistakable golden-era-meets-street energy. From late-night R&B and modern soul to boom-bap beats and unapologetic East Coast hip-hop, AWL moves between genres without boundaries, creating music rooted in emotion, authenticity, and timeless artistry.
