I am a writer, songwriter, poet, novelist. Began playing guitar at 12, and writing songs shortly after. I’ve got a lot of unfinished songs. There’s paper everywhere! I’m still learning. My grandmother shaped me into who I am today. She will always be home to me. I’ve been a soprano in church choirs since 13. I’ve participated in large recording projects in a church choir I was apart of for years. The minister of music had a huge impact on me in my early 20s. My life has been devoted to ministry and music and family. I’ve worked in North American Missions, toured many states in inner city work and culture engagement. I’ve lived in rural communities and I’ve lived in the city. From the east coast to the west coast and every where in between. In 2012 I established my ministry name Living Above the Sun about living from a higher perspective in life. East Tennessee, upstate South Carolina and North Carolina has been a triangle of family and love and upbringing. Portland OR has a huge chunk of my heart and I have deep connections of faithful love and friendship. I’m currently a paralegal in the banking industry. Recently came home from Nashville inspired to keep writing music!
